OUR 3 UNIQUE SERVICES OFFER THE BEST CHANCE FOR ALL ACCESSING OUR SUPPORT

THE REFUGE

The refuge will be in a undisclosed location ensuring it remains a SAFE HAVEN for women and children to always be able to gain access.

It will be a supportive home environment which is fully staffed 24 hours a day. The wrap around support consists of support workers (including overnight):

  • To deliver talking therapies

  • To teach interventions and living skills

  • Cooks/chefs to provide food

    • cooking classes

    • nutrition information sessions

    • having a balanced diet

    • healthy living on a budget.

  • There will be peer support

  • A nanny on site for women looking for work or currently in work.

  • Lessons in horticulture to learn how to plant and look after vegetables.

Security will be provided, by way of camera systems running 24 hours a day as well as a night guard.

THE DAY SERVICES

This will be separated into female only and male only services.

  1. Victim Support for FEMALES unable to attend the refuge.

  2. Victim Support for MALES.

Treatments for couples wishing to reconcile

Support for perpetrators at a separate location, wishing to learn new skills on how to manage anger issues and change their regular abusive habits.

Phone, online and text facility for people unable to attend in person.

There will be group sessions and activities to encourag peer support.

EDUCATION AND CHILDREN’S SECTOR

This is a programme set to run between 6 to 8 weeks.

This will be either delivered by assembly or class by class, only in secondary schools:

  • Healthy boundaries,

  • The difference between healthy relationships and unhealthy relationships

  • What positive home environments look like

  • Safe sex-contraception and sexually transmitted disease

This programme will have an anonymous Q & A to ensure students are able to ask any questions.
